Carrie Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher may have been just showing off for his wife in the car when he sang Garth Brooks’ “The River,” but if Brooks has anything to do with it, Fisher may be joining him on stage for an encore.

Brooks posted a response to Underwood’s Instagram, complimenting his skill and inviting him to join Brooks on stage at the last show on his world tour in Nashville — the first time the show has been announced.

Brooks must know Fisher and Underwood well, as he calls Fisher “bro” and signs off with a “love you pal,” so it seems like a definite possibility, but time will tell if Brooks was just pulling Fisher’s leg.

The legend was recently named the top earner in country music for 2015, coming in at No. 3 across all genres. Thanks to his world tour, his first in years, Brooks earned $90 million last year, having made about $1 million at every tour stop. The tour continues through the spring, hitting two dates in Florida before touring down the East Coast. The summer will bring five shows in Vegas during June and July.

Underwood, whose original post confessed she “always wanted to marry Garth,” recently performed in the headlining spot at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest, the last performance before the ball dropped in Times Square. The artist sets out on her Storyteller Tour this year beginning Jan. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla., which will feature Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers as openers.
