Humane Society of Henderson County

The Humane Society of Henderson County, located at 203 Drury Lane was founded in 1965 to provide a haven for animals in need in the county. In the last several years, the organization has worked hard to earn its status as a No-Kill shelter.

We are so PROUD to have been awarded the NO KILL status by the national registry and have been given an award to commemorate such a monumental time in the history of Humane Society of Henderson County. This has been a long time coming since we have not euthanized for space for over 7 years. We will continue to fight to keep this status and be a beacon of light for all of the unwanted and abused animals in our community.

Cheyenne's Hope Farm Sanctuary

Cheyenne's Hope Farm Sanctuary focuses on rescuing special needs animals. It is home to dogs, cats, horses, birds, and other small animals. It first opened its doors in 2010.
