Where are you staying on your next trip to East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains? It's not like there's a shortage of choices.

Certainly, you could go the condo route as my family has done on multiple occasions, but the hotels are top-flight, too, minus the conveniences of a condo. But who needs a condo when you can stay in a Dolly Parton resort?

THE DOLLYWOOD RESORT COMPLEX KEEPS GROWING

However, not so fast; Dolly Parton's HeartSong Lodge & Resort is still under construction. Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the new luxury destination was announced in 2021.

And recently, Dolly herself paid a visit to the resort's construction site, answered some questions, and, of course, performed. I imagine Dolly's ready to perform anywhere she goes.

THE DOLLYWOOD DREAMMORE RESORT'S NEWEST LUXURY SUITE

Yes, you can see images in the video of what the lodge and resort will look like when it's completed, and while we await the opening of HeartSong, the Dollywood Dreammore Resort & Spa is already allowing guests to relax in the lap of luxury. But they can take it a step further and spend a night or two in one of Dolly's tour buses

It's called Dolly Suite 1986: the Tour Bus Experience, and it is decked out just the way Dolly likes it, and you can stay in it as soon as you book your reservations.

YOU CAN SLEEP IN A DOLLY TOUR BUS...BUT YOU'LL NEED LOTS OF CASH

Of course, to BOOK a stay in this special suite, you will need a LOT of money--$10,000 to be exact, according to The Points Guy. Of course, if you don't HAVE $10K just lying around, you wouldn't need it for Dreammore. Have you ever seen inside it?

INSIDE THE DOLLYWOOD DREAMMORE RESORT AND SPA

Dolly Parton Suite 1986 represents Dolly's life on the road between 2008 and 2022 and has now been "retired" to the Dreammore Resort, which is currently accepting reservations for the tour bus suite.

THERE'S A LOT OF MUSICAL HISTORY ON THAT BUS

And there's no shortage of history with this suite, either. While Dolly was touring on this bus, she was also writing--her album Backwoods Barbie and the music for the original cast album of the 9 to 5 Broadway adaptation.

DOLLY PARTON'S TOUR BUSES -- HOMES AWAY FROM HOME

If you're wondering why a superstar and icon like Dolly Parton has traveled so much on a bus this late into her legendary career, it's because she's no fan of flying. Neither was Aretha Franklin. It happens. In fact, Dolly has said in interviews that she's more at home on a tour bus than she is at any of her actual homes.

I can totally see that. I think we sometimes forget just how down-to-earth and real Dolly Parton is, behind all the makeup and the hair and the likelihood that she's one of the five of ten most recognizable people on the planet.

As a popular magazine's running feature always says, "She's just like Us." With a few notable exceptions, that is exactly right.

See Dolly Parton's Longtime Nashville Home

Dolly Parton and Carl Dean owned this 4,795 square-foot residence in Nashville from 1980 until 1996. While it's not the lavish mansion one might expect one of the biggest country stars of all time to have lived in, it's a beautiful home that's also a one-of-a-kind piece of country music history.

Built in 1941. the house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the wooded, 2.4-acre property also features a detached storage building. Amenities in the stucco home also include an eat-in kitchen, carport, covered porch and patio, deck, a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a great room large enough for plenty of games and entertainment and dual heating and cooling units.
