Dolly Parton Speaks About the Eastern Tennessee Wildfires

Growing up in the mountains of Eastern TN, Dolly Parton not only continued to live between Nashville, California and Eastern TN as a adult, but built the incredible and popular theme park Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. She loves the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area and is, of course, saddened by the wildfires destroying this beautiful area she calls home. Dolly made a statement earlier today.

I have been watching the terrible fires in the Great Smoky Mountains and I am heartbroken. I am praying for all the families affected by the fire and the firefighters who are working so hard to keep everyone safe. It is a blessing that my Dollywood theme park, the DreamMore Resort and so many businesses in Pigeon Forge have been spared." – Dolly Parton
