It's National Puppy Day, which I personally think is a great holiday we should celebrate every day. With puppies. All of the puppies.

First off because it IS National Puppy Day, here's my two girls when they were puppies!

Bailey my chocolate lab was only about 8 weeks old in the left, she's about to turn 10 now! The last 10 years have been awesome with her though, she is such a good dog! Then on the right is my Wrigley the day I went and picked her out! She was fostered through a local rescue, with her mama and litter mates, and when I went she was the first to crawl into my lap, and I thought, yep this is mine.

Puppies are fun, and the cutest things EVER, but they are a lot of work, and you have to remember that they eventually grow into full grown dogs, so getting a puppy is a huge commitment and definitely something that shouldn't be taken lightly.   But if you are wanting to add another furry member to your family, be sure to stop by some of the great rescues in town. Wrigley was a rescue, so I have a huge place in my heart for animal rescues, because without them Wrigley may not be here today, and if you can't tell, I kind of like having her around.

Here's some great places to find your next best friend!
