On the show this week, I told you that after 20 years, the state of Sprinfield was revealed.... Oregon! It was reported that Matt Groening, the creator of ‘The Simpsons‘, had declared in an interview with Smithsonian Magazine that the famous family’s home of Springfield was in Oregon, ending two decades of debate over what state housed America’s favorite animated town.
The only problem? That wasn’t what Groening really said.
Ryan Seacrest started a playful rumor on ‘American Idol‘ this week,REPEATEDLY asking country artist wanna be Skylar Laine and rocker Colton Dixon if they are dating. After the two dueted to Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson‘s ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’, the dating jokes began. But, the same thing happened to Phillip Phillips and Elise Testone after their duet. I think AI just likes to try and get something going to help with sagging ratings.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been married for 16 years, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are a young couple, and Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will celebrate seven years this December. But, none of these compare to Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, who were married for 45 years before her death in 2003.
