What if you could live forever or at least for several thousand years with the same vitality you had as a younger person? Pretty cool, huh? Well, scientists say that we could live to well past 100 and in the very near future. You might be asking yourself how this is possible, but some researchers say it will involve keeping your cells from aging, while others believe the real secret lies in the ability to grow spare parts, such as blood vessels and hearts and bones to replace those that are too old to function properly.

Aubrey de Gray, a leading longevity researcher and scientist at Cambridge University say's, "I don't think there's any limit. Certainly, there's nothing that would stop people intinsically from living thousands of years."

In fact, one researcher has discovered a supplement he thinks will reporgram cells, causing them to live forever. Since scientists believe that aging occurs when the strings of DNA that reside at the end of each chromosome, called telomeres, become shorter, this new supplement will stop that from happening or even cause telomeres to regrow. Check the below clip from the Today show that explains this exciting new research.
