American Idol’s Steven Tyler Struggles With National Anthem [Video]

The new season of American Idol is underway and yesterday, judge Steven Tyler, Aerosmith front man, was asked to sing the National Anthem prior to the start of the AFC Championship game between Tyler’s hometown New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. Tyler struggled big time with the song, especially the high notes which is what he was always known for. Tyler, like so many before him, messed up one of the lines. This was not Tyler’s proudest moment and for a guy who now makes his living deciding which aspiring performers have what it takes to be a star, it kind of leaves you scratching your head.

The National Anthem is a difficult song to sing, but there is nothing worse than a bad, messed up version like Tyler’s. See his performance below and ‘judge’ for yourself.
