Father's Day is coming up this Sunday. In honor of that, let's share with you some famous dads that you might not have known were from Indiana.

Father's Day is hitting me a little differently this year. Each year, I always try to do something nice for my dad on this holiday. As I continue to honor that tradition by letting him know how much he means to me, I am excited because I have my first child on the way, along with two awesome bonus children. While I'll be celebrating Father's Day for my dad this year, I can't wait until next year when I can celebrate it with my daughter and my bonus kids.

Being a father is something that I always wanted to do. Along with my dad, I have always looked up to other dads who have prided themselves on being good parents. A lot of these dads, that I am sure that I will base my parenting off of, are dads from popular movies and television shows. The one that I am sure that I'll be most like would be Tim the Tool Man Taylor from Home Improvement. I'm clumsy, yet funny, so it makes sense.

So, as I was reflecting on Father's Day, I was curious about who are some famous dads from Indiana. There are many natives from Indiana who have made their mark on history in every field. Whether it be in the entertainment field, professional athletes, political figures, and other forms of popularity. Since Father's Day is this Sunday (June 18th), let's take a look at some of the most famous dads that are from Hoosier State. Some of these men you may not have known were born in Indiana, or quite possibly you didn't know they had kids or both. Let's take a look at 15 famous dads that you might not have known were from Indiana.

7 Weapons You Can Legally Own in Indiana That Aren't Guns

Anything can be a weapon if used as such. Large rocks, baseball bats, golf clubs, hammers, etc., etc. However, those objects aren't designed to be used as weapons. These seven, on the other hand, are, and you are completely within your rights to have them in Hoosier State.

16 Indiana Towns with Dirty-Sounding Names

A majority of these towns were given their names in the mid-to-late 1800s as settlers making their way across the country found unclaimed plots of land and decided to make them their own. While I imagine they thought the names they came up with were innocent, and perhaps a tribute to something in their lives, pop culture has warped our minds to the point since then that we can't help but think of something about the town that was never intended by its founders. Take a look at this list. I guarantee there's at least one name that will make you chuckle.
