Today Is VE Day – What Does VE Stand For?
Today is not a holiday and all government offices, banks and schools are open today, but today is a very special day in our history and for the world for that matter. It was on this day, May 8, 1945 that the Allies officially accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany and the end of Adolph Hitler's rule.
