Mother's Day is right around the corner and for the most part, mothers are the cornerstone of most of our lives. Mom's value to us emotionally is priceless, but what about the worth of being a stay-at-home mom in terms of economics? You might think that women in the workforce would command  more respect and higher salaries....not so fast.

My mother was a stay at home when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's as were most moms from that era. Today, more and more moms are trying to balance family, home and career at the same time. Some are either by choice stay at home moms or they left the workplace when they had children.
