The latest event to take a hit from the coronavirus is one much beloved by all of us here at GBF - the annual 911 Gives Hope Guns & Hoses charity boxing event.
Guns & Hoses 7 with 911 Gives Hope is April 12th at the Ford Center beginning at 7pm, doors open at 6pm. All the proceeds from the event will be distributed to children's charities in the Evansville area. Guns & Hoses is a charity boxing match between local police officers and fire fighters, which has grown to one of the biggest sporting events in the area.

Guns & Hoses, the charity boxing match between police officers and firefighters for 911 Gives Hope is coming April 21st at the Ford Center. This year's Guns & Hoses will be number five and the series is tied at two championships apiece.
Four years ago when Evansville Police officers and Firefighters decided to put on a charity boxing match to benefit local children, 911 Gives Hope and Guns & Hoses were born. After the first Guns & Hoses, 911 Gives Hope was able to distribute about $20,000 to local children's charities.
