Singer Chris Cagle was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Greenville, Texas. He reportedly ran a red light at about 2AM Sunday (Dec. 15) on U.S. 69, prompting a Department of Public Safety officer to pull him over.

Through 2013, plenty of songs have come and gone and become big hits.  But for every song that hits the top 10, there are hundreds more that don't, much less see the light of day.  Here are my personal choices for the songs that should have been a bigger hit on country radio in 2013...

In what has to be considered a major upset, The McCreerians barely fell short on the voting, as JB and the Moonshine Band picked up the win.  The band continues to look for wins as they face a new touching ballad from Chris Cagle.

Boy, was it a dog fight between two rockin' songs on the last Country Whuppin' brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads.  Challenger, Brantley Gilbert took an early lead and kept it through most of Wednesday, but the Cagle-Heads came through and voted Chris into victory for the 3rd time.  Today, it will be another strong challenger for Cagle as he faces Country Whuppin' Hall-Of-Fame

Chris Cagle dominates the Country Whuppin' once again.  Cagle's latest single got the duke on Craig Morgan by over a 90% margin.  In today's Country Whuppin', Chris faces a guy who's coming off two big number ones and re-releasing his pre-fame single.  It's Brantley Gilbert with "Kick It In The Sticks."

In what has to be considered a big upset, Chris Cagle put the whuppin' on Truck Yeah from Tim McGraw to move on as champ in today's Country Whuppin', brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads.  Cagle takes his new single into battle against the new tongue-in-cheek single from Craig Morgan!

...And the winner in the battle of Tim McGraw vs. Tim McGraw is...TIM MCGRAW! With 94% of the vote, Tim fans gave a rousing "Truck Yeah!" and that is the song that moves on to today's Country Whuppin', brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads. The McGraw anthem faces a new tune from Chris Cagle!

For the second week in a row, we hear a new single from an artist who has been off the charts since 2007.  Last week it was Faith Hill and this week it's Chris Cagle.
