If you've noticed more and more deer on the move as you travel through western Kentucky, there's a reason for that.

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources warns that since it is fawning season, we'll be seeing more of them.

I've seen quite a few young ones in recent days and I've tried to get a picture. It's funny...the car makes them freeze. And then I roll down the window. Still frozen.

But when I aim the camera, they're gone, and quickly.

They heard everything but the silent camera did the trick.

Anyway, yes, if you've read the comments in that post, you know to be very cautious if you see a baby because the mother is very close by.

Safe travels!
