First Time in Years: The Polar Express Train Ride in French Lick Is Not Sold Out
Every time that I hear Josh Groban's 'Believe', I have to hold back tears. That song is featured in The Polar Express movie, and it holds a special place in my heart.
The POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is an amazing way to create so many great memories with your family. Just walking around the area, taking photos, and checking out the exclusive Polar Express merchandise will get you in the holiday spirit.
2024 Dates Still Available
Normally, the tickets for the Polar Express Train Experience sell out over a year in advance. But this year, the French Lick Scenic Railway added some extra train cars for more family magic.
VERY IMPORTANT: All times on their site are Eastern. That means 1 hour ahead of Central time.
Here's What to Expect:
Imagine this: the iconic whistle blows, the heartwarming soundtrack fills the air, and you're whisked away on a real-life train journey inspired by Chris Van Allsburg's beloved children's book, The Polar Express [The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg]. This isn't your average train ride, folks. We're talking snowy landscapes, bustling rail yards, and even a trip through a mysterious tunnel – all on the way to meet the one and only Santa Claus himself!
But wait, there's more! This isn't just a sightseeing tour. Get ready for some serious onboard fun! We're talking dancing chefs serving up steaming cups of hot chocolate and delicious cookies (because no Christmas adventure is complete without treats!), conductors punching your golden tickets (just like in the story!), and even a chance to read along with The Polar Express itself!
REAL Magic
Keep your eyes peeled because Santa and his jolly crew are about to board the train! Each lucky passenger will receive the first gift of Christmas – a beautiful silver sleigh bell – a cherished memento of your incredible journey. The excitement doesn't stop there! On the way back from the North Pole, prepare to belt out your favorite carols with the friendly elves and immerse yourself in onboard entertainment that will create memories that last a lifetime.
Plus, every child gets to take home their very own sleigh bell as a keepsake! Seriously, how cool is that? This isn't just a train ride, it's an experience you won't want to miss!
I highly recommend taking your family at least once. You get to wear your pajamas, drink hot chocolate, and eat cookies! Chase especially liked the dancing elves, and I'm afraid he might really like them now that he's a bit older. Teenagers...Am I right? But seriously, it is one of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit.
