EVSC Summer Meal Program: Where and When Evansville Kiddos Can Find FREE Meals This Summer
Summer break is here, and young people throughout Evansville are rejoicing. For most kids, summer is a welcome site, allowing them to do just about whatever they want for the next couple of months. For many kids, though, the biggest drawback to summer break is missing out on school breakfast and lunch. Sadly, there are a lot of students who rely on the food they receive each day during the school year.

Luckily, the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) can continue providing those important meals throughout the summer for families that need them.
2024 EVSC Summer Meal Program
The EVSC recently released details for the 2024 summer meal program. Nearly a dozen EVSC schools will provide free breakfast and lunch each weekday. The meals are FREE for anyone aged 18 and younger. Here's the most important thing to remember - you do NOT have to be an EVSC student to get a free meal, they are available to ANYONE 18 or younger.

- Caze from June 3 - June 28
- Delaware from June - June 28
- Harper from June 3 - June 28
- Helfrich Park from June 3 - June 28
- Lincoln from June 3 - July 26 (except on July 4th)
- Lodge from June 3 - June 28
- McGary from June 3 - June 28
- Stockwell from June 3 - June 28
- Stringtown from June 3 - June 28
- Vogel from June 3 - July 26 (except on July 4th)
Don't let hunger put a damper on a kiddo's fun this summer. If you are struggling with food insecurity, please take advantage of the free meals provided by the EVSC. If you know a family that needs some help, please make sure they know about the program.
