Today is a monumental, career-defining day for Kentucky singer-songwriter Marty Brown. The Maceo native has been writing country music for nearly five decades and finally achieved a goal he's been working toward since he first picked up a guitar and started writing his own songs. He got a song recorded by the King of Country Music himself- George Strait.

George's brand new album (his 31st), Cowboys and Dreamers, dropped at midnight. The song features thirteen tracks and one of them is co-written by Marty Brown.

Marty co-wrote Track #3. The song's called "To The Moon" and Marty, who wrote the song as a love letter to his wife Shellie, was thrilled to see video of George performing the song live a couple of months ago at his record-breaking concert at Texas A&M's Kyle Field.

Today, fans of George (and Marty) get to hear the studio version for the first time. The song posted to George's official YouTube channel overnight. Check it out!

While George has had an action-packed week preparing for the release of Cowboys and Dreamers, Marty has too. Thursday night, he attended the Universal Nashville Album Release Party, where he took his "Cinderella to the ball." This weekend, he's playing the Nashville Fair.

Marty joined the WBKR morning show today to chat about "To The Moon" and what is aruguably THE biggest day of his country music career. Marty says it's all possible because of 'the grace of God, who really blessed me with this song."
