Hear Me Out, It’s a Party Bus That Stops at Thrift Shops in Kentucky and Tennessee
Get ready to get on the Cool Bus, Gus! My Sister's Keeper, a shelter for women and children here in Owensboro, just announced plans for a completely unique fundraiser. They teased the big announcement with this . . .
That's exactly what the Bargain Babes Thrift Trip is all about. It's coming up on Saturday, November 2nd and bargain shoppers are invited to climb on board for an action-packed day of partying and thrift shopping.
The Bargain Babes will be chartering Owensboro's newest, hippest new school bus. It's the recently renovated (and fabulous) Cool Bus!
The Cool Bus seats up to thirty bargain-hunting passengers, who will be whisked off to some of the most popular thrift stores in Bowling Green and, ultimately, Music City U.S.A.
One stop will be Beverly Hills Bargain Boutique in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Two other big stops will be the Ladies of Charity Fall Consignment Sale (which only happens twice a year) and thrift SMART, Nashville's biggest thrift store. The tour, which includes lunch on the bus and entertainment provided by your host (ME!!), will eventually roll back into Owensboro and conclude with a visit to Gifted Thrift, the brand new thrift store that helps fund the mission of two vital, local nonprofits- Friends of Sinners and My Sister's Keeper.
My Sister's Keeper Executive Director Angel Welsh says, "This event or anything like it has never been done in Owensboro." She adds that it's an exciting and fun way to "teach others about our mission and take them along on the journey."
If you'd like to take a journey on the inaugural Bargain Babes Thrift Trip, tickets are just $80 per person and are going on sale next week. Your ticket includes: morning coffee, lunch, entertainment, a fun goody bag, and lots of shopping and a great time with a fun group of gal pals. All proceeds will benefit My Sister's Keeper.
The Bargain Babes Thrift Trip will leave Owensboro at 7am CDT, Saturday, November 2nd. If you're interested in reserving your space, call 270-925-3032.
