Illinois Summer Concert Plans Shaken by Live Nation’s New Decision
Summer concert season will soon kick into high gear in Illinois, and if you love going to see shows at Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park, I have some disappointing news to share.
Saving Money on Concert Tickets
Going to summer concerts is an addiction so many Illinoisans share, and I totally get it. There's just something amazing about drinking beers with friends under the stars watching your favorite artist(s) jamming out live in front of you.
Honestly, the only drawback to a summer concert addiction is how much it can cost you, so finding ways to save money on tickets is the key to success.
For the last several years Live Nation has offered a popular "Lawnie Pass" that gave you lawn seat access to several different shows for one flat fee. Last year the pass cost $239, which was a big deal for frequent concertgoers, but things are changing for 2025.
Live Nation Discontinues Popular 'Lawnie' Pass
To put it simply, concert lovers all over the United States were NOT happy to see this recent announcement posted by Live Nation;
What? What are summer concert lovers supposed to do now? Stay home, drink beer, and listen to music in their backyard? Pay a ton more money to see all the shows they were planning to go to this summer?
Here's a little bit of good news...
Live Nation has hinted at "new and exciting programs for the summer concert season," promising that previous Lawnie Pass holders will be the first to hear about these offerings.
There still hasn't been word from Live Nation about when they will announce their new programs, but lets just hope they still save us a lot of money and let us satisfy all our summer concert cravings!
