I'm going to step out on a limb to say I think this legal recreational marijuana thing has worked out okay for Illinois. Okay, I'm just kidding, it's frickin' huge. Millions and millions of dollars have been generated in just a handful of years.

The one major problem for Illinois when they changed the cannabis laws was they didn't have the supply to meet the demand. Think about how much more money could've been made if the state was ready to sell weed at that time.

I believe the state is finally catching up with consumer demands for pot since more dispensaries are opening up throughout the state all of the time. It will be very interesting on how the industry grows in Illinois over the next couple of years.

The latest dispensary to open up in Illinois could actually be the most unique. It's located on some prime real estate in Fox Lake. In fact, this business is right on the water. They even have a boat dock and offer dockside service.

Residents tooling around the Chain O' Lakes can park their boats and stock up on any legal cannabis supplies that they need. It's called Smokehouse Dispensary. This is such a great idea, I'm not sure why someone hadn't thought of the idea earlier.

Wouldn't this be a great idea for Rockford? Maybe downtown along the Rock River. Considering how well the dispensaries do in the Forest City, I'm sure they would be a big success.
