America’s Best Fried Chicken Sandwich Deserves More Spots in Illinois
I saw this guy on YouTube talking about America's best chicken sandwich.
It was served at Jollibee in Times Square in New York City.
While that's great and all, I wondered what the chances are of me making it to Times Square right now, sitting in the middle of America. I'll answer that for you: not great.

Anyway, I decided to look up Jollibee, and they have a few spots in Illinois that you can check out if you want to try what this YouTuber says is the best fried chicken sandwich in America.
There are two Jollibee spots in Chicago, one in Skokie and the other in Bloomingdale. The website does mention that there are "coming soon" locations but makes no mention of when and where.
I'd be down for a sandwich or seven, but is the chicken sandwich at Jollibee the best? One Yelp review said the sandwich wasn't "anything special," but another called it "one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had."
Lastly, Steven B. might be going overboard; there might be a bit of hyperbole in their review when they said, "DO NOT GO HERE unless your kink is waiting in line for 30 minutes with mouth-breathing tourists and then waiting another 20 minutes for your cold, mediocre chicken sandwich. This place sucks."
Honestly, reviews like Steven's make me really interested. Is Jollibee's THAT bad? It can't be.
That said, can we get in Rockford soon? I'd love to try it.
