Last week, the downtown Evansville Farmers Market announced that they would not be opening this year.

I enjoyed visiting our local vendors at the Downtown Evansville Farmers Market (on the corner of 3rd, 4th & Bond Streets) but didn't get the opportunity to visit as much as the other location when it was located on the corner of 2nd and Sycamore.

I hope that they can secure a new area. Personally, I would love to see a year-round indoor farmers market that would be open longer on Friday's until about 6 or 7- pm and/or Saturday's.

In York, PA where I formerly lived, we had 3 indoor farmer's markets you could visit year-round.  The Eastern Market would be open on Friday's from morning to early evening.  There were 2  Downtown Farmer's Markets:  Central Market opened Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; and Penn Market was opened Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Would you like to continue visiting the current operation of an outdoor market on Friday's (same time 8 am - 1 pm) or different time/day? Or could an indoor farmer's market work in the downtown Evansville area? What are your thoughts?

Check out last year's visit to the Downtown Evansville Farmers Market with me and Liberty!
