Youth Resources Holding Another Give Back Fundraiser At Two Evansville Restaurants Today

Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana is holding another ‘Give back’ fundraiser on today, June 20th at Applebee’s Westside location and Gracie’s Chinese Restaurant on Hwy 41 North at Booneville-New Harmony Road in front of the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fairgrounds. Applebee’s will donate 15% of all lunch, dinner and gift certificate purchases and Gracie’s will donate 20% and you don’t need any kind of coupon, just mention Youth Resources at the time of purchase and you will be helping in a big way. Youth Resources began 25 years ago in 1987 as a way to empower our community’s youth to take ownership of community challenges and to create a plan to address and overcome those challenges.
To date, Youth Resources has involved more than 145,000 young people in just under 2,800 service projects. The hope is that through Youth resources, young people are establishing healthy life-long habits that include generously giving their time, talents and resources back to their community from now through adulthood.
All you have to do to help our young people further their goals and experiences is eat at Applebee’s West and Gracie’s Chinese Restaurant on Hwy 41 North today, June 20th and mention Youth Resources…what could be easier than that? May 18, 2013 12:00 PM I have had my fair share of run ins with deer. Living in the country, it's just a way of life. You must, during the early morning hours and evening/night hours, constantly be on alert and have your eyes scanning the sides of the road.
Once, on a trip back to Indiana from Tennessee, a deer came inches away from slamming through the passenger side window of my car, injuring my son. Luckily, the deer hit the front of the windshield and rolled off the hood of the car. But in the case of this bus, it came right through the window and went crazy!!
