Folks in the community don't seem too happy about the State's recent decision that will affect their Vectren bill. This past Wednesday, Vectren received a state agency's approval to upgrade and modernize its electrical grid. In theory, this seems like a good idea, but when residents found out that their monthly bill, that they already say is too high, the decision got some backlash.

According to the Courier & Press, beginning next year, residential customers will see an increase of $1 to $2 per month on their electric bill. That may not sound like much, but by the end of seven years, they will see an increase of $16 to $17 per month.

What are your thoughts? Will updating the electrical grid be worth the price  you pay for electricity? Should they reconsider this approval? Or, should customers in the Tri-State have more options in terms of their electricity service?
