Don’t blink. You may miss history.

Earlier this month, the Hennessey Venom GT zoomed into the record books when it notched a speed of 270.49 miles per hour – the fastest speed ever for a two-seat sports car. It eclipsed the old record of 269 miles per hour.

The Venom GT went on its history-defining run at the Kennedy Space Center’s space shuttle landing runway in Florida.

Now, maybe the team behind this accomplishment can take some time to slow down and savor their feat.
