Women’s Club of Newburgh Awards over $20,000 to Local Students & Community Organizations
For over 50 years, the Women’s Club of Newburgh has given back to the community awarding grants and scholarships to students and community organizations.
This year 5 scholarship awards and 16 grants totaling over $20,000 were presented to individuals and organizations in the local community.
Seniors from Warrick County receiving a $5,000 college scholarship:
- Jordan Fuerstenau – Castle H.S. ( will attend Ball State)
- Josie Rinehart - Castle H.S. ( will attend USI)
- Ian Rudolph – Boonville H.S. ( will attend Purdue University)
- Allison Smith – Boonville H.S. ( will attend IUPUI)
- Jordyn Buxton – Boonville H.S. ( will attend IU)
A combined $16,860 in grant funding was awarded to these community organizations:
- Sharon Elementary – Katie Rogier
- Sharon Elementary – Dana Cambell
- Pets for Vets
- Castle South Middle School
- United Methodist Youth Mission
- Historic Newburgh, Inc.
- Encountering Hope
- Bread of Life
- Pillow Pals
- YMCA after school program

- Flock 99
- JR Achievement
- Touch
- Newburgh Community Theater
