You hear a lot of songs on the radio, but there are a lot more songs that are on an artist's album that never make it to radio and you may never have heard. I want to give you an opportunity to hear a few of those songs, if you haven't already. Each week I will be giving you a new WKDQ Deep Cut. This will be a song off of an artist's album that may or may not be released as a single to radio.

I will be giving you a different country song each week to listen to. If you have already heard it, great! If you haven't, take a couple of minutes to check out some great songs that may or may not pop up on country radio. Now, there may be some artists that you don't like, but give them a shot, you may like what you hear!

This week's song is one of the catchiest songs that I have heard in a long time. Brett Eldredge has a song on his Illinois album called "Shadow," and it is very...different to say the least. I mean that in a good way. I don't know how to describe this song...all I can say is it has a rustic rock sound to it. There is no other song like it on this album, which makes it stand out. I feel like this is a song that you will either love or hate. As for someone who loves a little rock in their country rather than pop in their country, I love it!   Check it out for yourself:

Also, feel free to give me some songs as well. If you have a song that you think should be featured, let me know here:
