Payless Shoes is closing 378 stores nationwide after it announced it filed for bankruptcy. What is the impact of the Tri-State?

The company is hoping that shedding non-profitable stores will help ease its debt burden. Both Payless stores in Evansville will stay open, while the Payless in Terra Haute, Madisonville, and the Owensboro store in the Townsquare Mall will closing.
