Saturday night I went with my daughter to a musical revue put on by the Gibson County Theatre Company in Princeton IN. It was GREAT! I got to see a lot of my old friends (I used to live in Ptown and teach theatre) and make some new ones. I also got to see that I actually taught somebody something about breaking character.

When you are teaching actors to perform during a play, one of the most important things they need to know is ALWAYS STAY IN CHARACTER!! And, yes, I would often shout to get my point across. LOL

During the show, one of my former, very talented, students dropped a prop during her performance. But, like the pro I taught her to be, she picked it up, added a funny line, and never broke character.

All actors try their best NOT to break. But, sometimes, like on SNL, something so funny happens, you can't help but laugh, even when you aren't supposed to. And when that happens, we love it!!

LMAO!!
