Watch 12 Random Acts of Kindness by Police Officers Including Evansville’s Own Sgt. Jason Cullum

It seems lately, that anytime the police are in the news it's usually for something that is less than flattering. Unless you have done their job, you cannot even begin to imagine what police officers have to deal with on a daily basis and most of it isn't pretty. Over the last year, there have been many stories involving police officers around the country doing things that go largely unnoticed and without credit where credit is due, even though the officers will tell you it's just all in a day's work.

The below video is a compilation of 12 random acts of kindness by police officers that begins with Evansville's very own Sgt. Jason Cullum of the Evansville Police Dept. who stopped in the middle of the road to rescue a lost teddy bear and return it to a very grateful owner.

Other videos include the officer who stopped to play catch with a lonely kid and the officer who helped an elderly man tie his shoes. Even though it is not widely reported, this is what the men and women of law enforcement strive to do every single day and for that, we thank them.
