Due to delays with equipment, work on the Twin Bridges has been pushed back to later this week.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Department:
"There will be no lane restrictions on Wednesday, February 1st.

On Thursday, February 2nd, there will be both a northbound and southbound lane restriction from approximately 8 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m., CST.  The northbound lane restriction is for guardrail upgrades.  The southbound lane restriction is to allow installation work to start for new solar powered navigation lights on the southbound bridge.

On Friday, February 3rd, there will be a southbound lane restriction to allow guardrail upgrades starting near the Weigh Station along US 41 between the Kentucky-Indiana State Line and the US 41 Twin Bridges.  This Friday work zone will be for southbound traffic only.

Starting Friday night, February 3rd at 9 p.m., and continuing through the weekend there will be a southbound lane restriction to allow the navigation light installation work to continue.  This work zone for southbound traffic will remain in place around the clock from 9 p.m., Friday, to 5:30 a.m., on Monday.

Starting Monday, February 6th, there will be southbound lane restriction in place each Monday through Thursday, for the ongoing navigation light work.  This daytime lane restriction for southbound traffic on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson will be in place weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., CST, Monday through Thursday. A southbound lane restriction also will be in place around the clock on weekends from 9 p.m., CST, on Friday night through 5:30 a.m. the following Monday.

This southbound lane restriction on the southbound bridge will be in place whenever weather allows for about 2 to 3 weeks.  Once work on the southbound bridge is nearing completion, we will announce a date for the contractor to move the work zone to the northbound bridge on a similar daytime and weekend schedule."
We will continue to keep you updated on traffic delays as they happen.
