In a press conference yesterday, Tropicana announced the opening date of the new land based casino as well as some of its features.

Tropicana General Manager, John Chaszar announced the long-awaited land-based casino will be open to the public beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20th.

 

This 75,000 square-foot casino will offer a 24-hour gaming experiences with a section of over 1,100 slot machine games, 41 table games, as well as poker. Not only will you be able to play many of your favorite casino games, but there will also be more dining and night life options at Tropicana Evansville. Three new restaurants will be a part of the new facility. "The Deli" will offer New York-style deli food around the clock, "Tap House" will allow you to enjoy 36 different brews on tap as well as some delicious food, and finally, "421" offers you the chance to enjoy beer, wine, cocktails with a "sophisticated style and high-voltage energy".

Now, what will come of "The Boat"? The current casino will close its doors on Monday, October 16th at 6:00 a.m. Along with the closure of "The Boat," Max & Erma's and Hoosier's Lounge will also cease operations.
