Tri-State Beet: Fake Local News Delivered to Your Facebook News Feed

Yep, I'll admit it. They got me. I saw a story on a new Facebook page called Tri-State Beet about a woman who was arrested by the EPD for using a lawn chair in her sedan instead of a front seat. I was like WHA? But, it is Evansville, right? I mean, do you listen to the "It Came From Evansville Watch" segment on KISS?

I did get suspicious when I saw a story about a homeless man peeing in the Henderson water supply. Then I saw the disclaimer:

Tri-State Beet is the area's top opinion based comedy news channel. Any reasonable person would read this garbage and realize it's satire.

Think The Onion of Evansville with a clever play on words. Well, again... it's Evansville and I've seen a lot of weird things go on here. Drugs make people do really terrible things!

Anyway, check it out for a good laugh. Some of the stories are based on actual newsworthy events.
