Today, September 13th, I will be a part of the Celebrity Scoop Night at Baskin Robins to help raise money for EVSC students in need. WKDQ has been helping Hangers for a few years now and I am honored to be chosen to continue to help out. In case you aren't familiar with EVSC's Hangers organization, they provide clothes to EVSC students in need. Some of these students may be experiencing a short-term transition and some may be affected by homelessness, house fires, and poverty.  That's where Hangers comes in. They help provide the children with clothes and other essential items to help them focus on what is most important...their education.

This year, I will be helping Hangers in a different way. I will be participating as a celebrity scooper to help raise funds to purchase clothes for the 2,400+ students that they serve each year. Now, I am going to need your help with this. You can support me as a celebrity scooper, as well as help out the kids by donating to my ice cream tip jar. I don't care if it is a dollar or twenty dollars, every little bit helps!

There are a few ways in which you can help me out and donate to my tip jar.

  • You can stop by the studio any time from now until the 13th during regular business hours to donate.
  • Come out to Baskin Robins in Evansville on South Green River Road any time between 7:30 and 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 13th during my shift as a celebrity scooper.
  • OR you can make a donation online by clicking here and put CELEBRITY SCOOPER TRAVIS SAMS in the additional comments section at the bottom of the page.

It would be a big help if you could come out to support me, but more importantly, Hangers! Please share this post, come out and let me scoop you some ice cream (I might even give you a bigger scoop than usual for helping out), and support these kids in need!
