Trace Adkins, Kristin Chenoweth Return to Host 2012 American Country Awards

Attendees, recipients and viewers of the 2012 American Country Awards will be in for a treat this year, thanks to Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth. The two hilarious country stars will return to host the ACAs for the second year in a row.
“The ACAs honor the best and brightest of country music, from the hotshot breakthrough artists to the icons,” Adkins said. “I’m looking forward to cutting loose again with Kristin, who’s quite the firecracker comedienne, while we also take viewers through an evening of great music and awards.”
Last year, Adkins and Chenoweth cut up on stage at the 2011 ACAs — their first time to stand side by side for the event. Chenoweth’s tiny stature and hilarious wit paired with the “big guy’s” dry sense of humor made for the perfect combination.
The good news comes just a few weeks after the part-time country singer/part-time actress left her role on the show ‘The Good Wife’ following an on-set injury, following which she was hospitalized. Unfortunately, Chenoweth was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time when a large piece of equipment blew over, knocking her to the ground. The 44-year-old actress hit her head on the concrete and was unable to return to the show as a result. Thankfully, she’s feeling well enough to give country music fans a treat at the ACAs!
“I’m excited to return to the ACA stage with Trace and his big personality and even bigger boots,” Chenoweth said. “We had a blast last year and I plan to pull out all the stops to make sure everyone has a good time.”
We’re looking forward to it! Tune in to the 2012 ACAs on Dec. 17 at 8PM ET on Fox.
