Townsquare Media Defends Pizza King Stromfest Title [Pictures]

Pizza King’s annual ‘Stromfest’ competition is in the books and Townsquare Media has defended it’s title as ‘strom eating’ champs for the second straight year. Every year, Pizza King does a strom promotion for which a portion of the proceeds goes to Evansville charities 911 Gives Hope and The Boys and Girls Club of Evansville. The promotion ends with a huge strom eating contest featuring an individual competition and a team competition. The finals were held this past Saturday at Pizza King’s Stringtown location and Townsquare’s team of Eric Cornish representing 99.5 WKDQ, Jason Moore representing WJLT 105.3 FM, Corey Eldridge representing 103 WGBF FN and News Talk 1280 WGBF AM and James ‘Big Boy’ Croft representing 106.1 Kiss-FM chowed down. The Townsquare boys faced off against the Evansville Fire Department in the team final and thanks to ‘Big Boy’ establishing a huge lead as the first eater in the 4-man relay and Jason Moore handling the anchor leg, the Fire Fighters were no match for the radio guys. Moore almost choked…..literally, but kept it all down and in for Townsquare’s second straight championship. Next up for the champs….Nathan’s in Coney Island, NY next July 4th weekend. See the not so pretty pictures below.
