Yesterday officials in Indianapolis released information in regards to the implementation of a time zone change for the state.

Officials stated that after a heated debate about Indiana being considered one state under one time zone, a consensus was to propose a bill that would change the official time zone for the entire state to Eastern Standard Time. A bill was quickly pushed thru both houses and signed by officials. The new "Time Zone" change will take effect in 30 days and will effect for all parts of Indiana.

What does that mean for the folks in the Tri-State? Well if you live in Kentucky and work in Indiana you will have to leave an hour earlier. All governmental and publicly run businesses will also be on a new schedule of 9am-5pm EST or 8am-4pm CST.
