Announced this morning during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, the new contract means McGraw will join an impressive roster of high-profile country artists including Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, and Reba.

“Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling about working on a new album for this next chapter in my career,” McGraw said in a press statement. “Here’s to the next 20 years!”

McGraw was signed to Curb Records for nearly two decades. He sought a release from his contract after recording his album Emotional Traffic, and while Curb contested, a judge finally ruled in McGraw’s favor late last year, releasing him from his relationship with Curb.

Since launching his career with his self-titled debut album in the early 1990s, McGraw has sold more than 40 million albums and earned 32 Number Ones. He’s won numerous GRAMMYs, ACMs, and other awards. And when he married Faith Hill, the two became one of country music’s most iconic couples.

On June 2, McGraw will kick off his Brothers Of The Sun stadium tour with Kenny Chesney–which is poised to be one of the biggest tours in country music history.
