Tim McGraw gifted his fans with a fun video of backstage holiday-themed jam, in which the singer and his band took on the Christmas classic "Blue Christmas" to pass some time before a show.

"We wanted to say merry Christmas, happy holidays, happy new year, to everybody," noted McGraw. "Thank you so much for all you've done for us. Over the years you've been really good to us and kept us around for a long time!"

"Hug your little ones tight," the singer, who is a father of two college-aged children and one high schooler. "They grow up fast." It's more than possible McGraw is feeling a little tender in this arena, as he and wife Faith Hill just celebrated their youngest daughter Audrey's 17th birthday earlier this month.

McGraw and company did the impromptu version of the song Elvis Presley-style, with a swinging/swaggering lead vocal and a harmonic backup. It's hard to imagine anyone's Christmas being too blue with this upbeat number playing!

The "Neon Church" singer should soon have yet another nice present for his fanbase, as he is currently working on a new album.
