This week is National Child Passenger Safety week. It is a week to focus on the importance of proper child seat safety.

In honor of this week, Little Lambs will have a free car seat clinic on Wednesday, September 21st, as part of their Discovery Health and Safety Fair.

“Proper child seat use saves lives, and knowing how to install a child seat and when to transition to the next available seat, or into a traditional seat belt, is vital to keeping children safe while riding in motor vehicles,” said Tiffani Sinn Trulock, Business Coordinator.

According to ICJI, in 2015 there were 238 Indiana children under the age of 13 who were injured and 10 children who died as the result of being unrestrained in an automobile accident. Statistics show when used correctly, child car seats can reduce the risk of infant injury and death by 71 percent.
Free child seat inspection stations are offered across the state and available throughout the year. Little Lambs of Evansville became an inspection station and provides free inspections. Appointments can be made by contacting Tiffani Sinn Trulock at 812-425-5262 or littlelambs.evansville@gmail.com.
