A double rainbow appeared over Evansville in the wake of Wednesday's rain showers, leading to local reaction that put "Double Rainbow Guy" to shame.

Don't get me wrong, there is something about a rainbows that are mesmerizing and magical. The fact they form from a simple mix of sunlight using tiny droplets of water as prisms is one of nature's amazing phenomenons. But as I scrolled through my Facebook news feed last night, you would have thought God had returned to Earth.

It seemed like every other post in my feed was a picture of this rarity, as if people were rushing to be the first to share this heavenly vision.
