As if it weren't incredible enough that Trace Adkins and his family emerged from their recent house fire relatively unscathed, now comes word that the Adkins' puppies were rescued from the blaze by none other than Trace's 10-year-old daughter, Brianna.

"A neighbor tried to stop her, but she wouldn't be stopped," says Adkins, adding that after he returned home to find everyone safe and sound, he told Brianna, "I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you for the way you saved those puppies."

Though Adkins jokingly refers to the Australian shepherds as "girl dogs," he couldn't be happier to have the family together - even if their new digs, in the Adkins farmhouse outside of Nashville, aren't quite what they've grown accustomed to. "We’re good. We’re fortunate," he says, adding, "We don’t have any room to put stuff - but we don’t have stuff anymore!"
