Parents of Tecumseh High School students were alerted this morning that the school was on lockdown.

Tecumseh High School principle Richard Lance told us that there is no eminent threat, but the school took precautionary measures after the sheriff's office notified the school that they were searching for a crime suspect in the area.

Lance said that Warrick County Deputies caught some thieves stealing copper at Lynville Park which is about a mile from the school. Deputies were searching the area for one suspect that got away, prompting the lockdown.
