Tate Stevens Makes It to ‘X Factor’ Finals

Country favorite Tate Stevens, who regularly placed atop the fan-voted leaderboard in Season 2 of ‘X Factor,’ will move on to the finals as one of the Top 3 contestants.
In Thursday night’s (Dec. 13) elimination episode, Stevens found out that he was the second act going through to next week’s finals.
When asked how he felt about making it to the home stretch — especially since he has been incredibly vocal about how adamantly his wife has supported him and gotten firmly behind him while he pursues his dreams — he said, “We’re here.” It was a simple statement, but it summed up how things work in their relationship. Clearly, the ‘Tate Stevens Show’ is a two-person operation, and the soulful hopeful admits he can’t do it without the love of good woman.
Stevens’ mentor, L.A. Reid, was beyond thrilled that the last member of his team has made it within inches of the ‘X Factor’ promised land — a $5 million recording contract.
The Epic Records head honcho admitted that while he has never been a country music fan, he is a Tate Stevens fan. Given Stevens’ fan rankings each week, there are lots of Tate Stevens fans out there.
The country contestant will compete against girl group Fifth Harmony and the teenager with a monster voice, Carly Rose Sonenclar, when ‘X Factor’ draws to a close next week.
If you want to see country music take the crown on another reality singing competition — much like Scotty McCreery and Carrie Underwood before him — then get behind Stevens and vote!
