In late December, 'X Factor' winner Tate Stevens announced that he would be moving his family to Nashville to work on his country music career. It looks like Stevens has arrived in Music City and is already working hard, according to a photo that he shared this week.

Stevens sent out a 140-character blast from Twitter, letting fans know that he has been writing with John Rich -- and the two determined that "Jesus didn't turn the water into Dr. Pepper." We're not sure exactly what that means, but it sounds like the rising country star had a good time with his new songwriting pal!

Stevens also posted a doctored-up Instagram photo of the two country boys standing with their arms around each other and grinning ear-to-ear. Looks like Stevens is already making friends in high places.

Rich responded to the 'X Factor' winner's post by retweeting the original post and tacking, "Had a BLAST!" on to the end.

Stevens took home the crown on 'X Factor' at the end of 2012. The 37-year-old singer was in close competition on the show, but his duet performance of 'Pontoon' with Little Big Town proved that he has the star power to make it in country music. His winnings included a $5 million recording contract that will aid him on his way to living out his dream of becoming a country music star.

“I know what we’re doing. I know the direction we wanna go,” the future star revealed recently. “It’s gonna be fun. I’m gonna have some stuff that tug at your heart, country ballads, but I wanna have fun. I’m a fun guy, I love having fun, and I want that to come through on my record.”

No release date has been set for Stevens' debut.
