Every year, the radio stations involved with doing the annual St. Jude Radiothons all over the country gather in Memphis for a weekend called the Country Cares Seminar.  I have been six times, with three different radio stations, and I go any time I get the chance.  I often have people ask me what happens there, so let me explain.

St. Jude is always in the back of my mind, and any time I see something that supports or celebrates the Hospital, I will always jump on it.  I saw this video for the first time yesterday, and I think the images in it show the hope that radiates out of that place.

99.5 WKDQ and the WWE are giving you a chance to have a one-of-a-kind experience when WWE Smackdown comes to the Ford Center on June 26th for a live TV taping.  You could sit ringside and meet some WWE Superstars before the show.  We're taking bids now for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Last year, a Saturday afternoon crowd brought in over $400 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with Putt Fore Life.  It's now back for the second year at Midget Links Miniature Golf on West Morgan Avenue in Evansville.

Friday, the LoCash Cowboys were in town for their show at Stoney's Evansville.  They were nice enough to give of their time to come by the studio and co-host part of my show, not just for fun, but to help a great cause in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The LoCash Cowboys will be headed to Stoney's Evansville on Friday, May 25th.  This will be an 18 and over show with tickets available now at StoneysEvansville.com. You have a once in a lifetime chance to hang with Chris and Preston along with me in the WKDQ studio and backstage at the show with this special blind auction for St. Jude.

Even though it was only the 4th of May (May the 4th be with you), some of the crazy guys here at our radio station, me included, constructed some fabulous facial landscaping in honor of 'Cinco De Mustache.' It's basically a made up event, where we don a 'stache, go to Hacienda to celebrate, and take donations from our co-workers for St. Jude as they vote for the best lip-warmer.

In only its second year, the Evansville edition of the Give Hope Run for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has garnered attention from all over the country, especially from Memphis and the hospital itself.  After breaking records from all over the US last year with $65,000 plus raised, this year's walk, Saturday at Burdette Park raised $110,595!

As the walk and run season gets into full effect, I strongly recommend one you should not miss.  It's the second year for the Give Hope Run here in Evansville, tomorrow at Burdette Park.
