ShrinerFest starts today with opening ceremonies starting at 2PM, with food booths and rides opening at noon. Thursday night the beer garden opens at 5PM with the Bobby Clark Band going on at 6:30PM. Friday and Saturday there is plenty for for the whole family with Grand Prix Go-Karts, the Evansville Fire Family, Mike Harvey, Beirstubes, and live music...

The Blue Angels have cancelled their appearance at the Evansville Shrinersfest.  According to the Evansville Courier and Press, the show was cancelled after one of the pilots was suspended after a recent airshow. So far, there’s no word from the Shriners about the situation, but with only two week’s notice, I would be surprised to see them able to pull together an alternative airshow for this year
