I am totally overwhelmed by the support we've had this year for the Songs For St. Jude Free concerts at Hawg N Sauce.  In just cash donations, we've raised nearly $2,300 this year.  Last night, however was living proof of why we do what we do with St. Jude!

We are putting an exclamation point on the Songs For St. Jude Free Concert Season this Thursday night at Hawg N Sauce BBQ And Grill in Mt. Vernon, Indiana with 'Girls With Guitars.'  This entirely female lineup will include Julie Roberts, JoAnna Smith Eldridge, Ruthie Collins, and Jaclyn Graves.

Well, this is a sad situation.  If you remember the underrated tune from about 10 years ago, 'Break Down Here,' a song I've heard more at karaoke than on the radio, then you'll remember the young artist who performed it, Julie Roberts.  Last night, she swallowed her pride and attempted to get back in the spotlight with a tryout on NBC's 'The Voice.'  It didn't go well.

She was gone as quick as she came to country music.  A lot of folks raved about Julie Roberts' first single and I'll still hear it in karaoke bars from time to time.
