The Evansville Icemen will be in action this Saturday night at the Ford Center against the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:15. There will be a very special feature this Saturday night that will be fun for the entire family. The Russian Bar Trio will perform between periods. The Russian Bar Trio performs a very unique brand of acrobatics that combines acrobatics and gymnastics.

The Evansville Icemen will be home this Friday and Saturday night at the Ford Center. Saturday night will be Faith night with a post game concert. Saturday night will also feature a Teddy Bear Toss to benefit 911 Gives Hope so, bring a teddy bear or two to throw on the ice. A teddy bear toss is really something to see if you have never seen one.

The Evansville Icemen had a shaky start to the season with a few consecutive losses, but they are beginning to turn things around with a couple of home wins and a big win Thursday night against Cincinnati. Dan Gendur scored the go ahead goal with 1:11 remaining in regulation to secure a 4-3 win for the Icemen.

The great thing about an Evansville Icemen game is that, more than just hockey, it's an all around entertainment experience.  That's why it should be a lot of fun, when the Zooperstars visit the Ford Center Saturday night!

The Evansville Icemen announced today in the first off-season press conference that the Icemen will be moving up to the ECHL (East Coast Hockey league) for the 2012-2013 season that begins in October. The annoucement was made with Icemen owner Ron Geary and ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna. This is a big step up for the Icemen both in terms of exposure and level of play.

Have you had a chance to see the Icemen play hockey at the new Ford Center?  If you haven't, you are missing a great experience for you and your family.  The atmosphere of the the Ford Center alone is enough to show you a good time while the Icemen play their brand of smash-mouth hockey.  WKDQ and Coors Light are now teaming up to make your Icemen experience even bigger!

This week, during Youth Jersey Night at the Evansville Icemen game, WKDQ hosted a dance contest on the ice during intermission.  Contestants were instructed to do the hottest dance right now, "The Wobble."  Little did I know that our own Jon Prell was a master at wobbling.

The Evansville Icemen will be home this Sunday at the Ford Center to take on the Bloomington Blaze at 7:15. The Icemen are having a great year and enjoying their first season in the Ford Center.
