Saturday turned out to be a great day for Country Con at the Owensboro Convention Center. While I was there to take in all the great music and vendors...I did notice my arch-nemesis was there...THE BULL!     I think I won!  ...

Country Con is in the books and it was awesome! We’re talking live music on multiple stages, from local, regional, and Nashville based country music acts.  There were vendor booths, and of course anything and everything a country music fan could want...

Well, we are less than 48 hours away from Country Con at the Owensboro Convention Center! Let's meet another one of our 50 emerging artsts, Celeste Kellogg!

Mississippi native Kristen Brassel cites influences from the Dixie Chicks to Joni Mitchell to Shania Twain to describe her country pop sound. Her songwriting is based with classic country ladies like Loretta Lynn and Emmylou Harris. Since moving to Nashville, Brassel has released two EPs including her brand new one, 'Love & Lightning'.

Hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana, Fawn Larson picked up a harmonica at age 6 and thus began her music career. Here eclectic sound calls back to those Louisiana roots while still bringing Nashville into the mix. Alt-Country and Americana will be in the air when Fawn Larson and her band joins us at Country Con on Saturday, September 12th at the Owensboro Convention Center.

She has a an unmistakable 'Vintage' style that makes her stand out in the new crop of female artists coming to country music.  Ruthie Collins will be bringing that style and her very own Airstream Trailer to Country Con on September 12th in Owensboro!

Coming to the Owensboro Convention Center, a week from THIS Saturday, it's Country Con! We've been introducing you to the 50 emerging artists playing on three stages and here's another, Waxahachie, Texas native Trevor Brooks!

His album, Cornfields And Coal echoes everything about Jason Sturgeon's home in Pike County, Indiana.  Although he lives in Nashville now with his growing family, including a 9 month old baby boy, he still writes songs about this area and is looking forward to being back for Country Con.

Jordan Anderson is a sweet and almost shy Colorado girl, but when you hear her sing and see her perform, you'd think she was the Female Vocalist of the Year.  Who, knows, she might just be in a few more years!  September 12th at Country Con Jordan will be meeting her fans and playing some of her amazing music!

Originally from Roswell, GA, Erica Bryan headed to New York City to pursue a career in musical theater where she trained with Broadway's best and toured the country and became a better singer and performer. After a few years, she decided to take a different path which took her to Nashville. Erica will be joining us Saturday, September 12th at Country Con!

Olivia Lane might just have the biggest hit of any of the artists at Country Con on September 12th!  At last check Olivia was sitting at #42 on the Billboard Indicator charts and climbing with her new single, 'You Part 2.'  Check out my interview with her as well as the video for that single!
